Theben joins the eFIXX College Connections Programme

We’re proud to announce that Theben Automation is now part of the eFIXX College Connections Programme, supporting the next generation of electricians with hands-on smart home training and resources.

efixx college connections

The eFIXX College Connections Roadshow is designed to enrich the student learning experience and give lecturers added support. Electrical Teaching Specialist Gary Hayers visits colleges across the UK, bringing engaging sessions that expand knowledge beyond the standard curriculum. With the help of forward-thinking brand partners like Theben, each college benefits from additional learning resources and equipment to use in the classroom and workshops.

LUXORliving Demo Boards for Every College

As part of our commitment, we’ve created dedicated LUXORliving demo boards, expertly built by Simon Johnson. Each college taking part in the roadshow will receive a board to keep, giving students the opportunity to explore how a smart home ecosystem works in practice.

The demo boards showcase:

  • Switching and dimming functions
  • Scene setting and central functions
  • The principles of a scalable, KNX-based smart home system

By working with real equipment, learners can see first-hand how energy-efficient, sustainable smart home solutions are designed, installed, and programmed.

Inspiring the Next Generation & Building Skills for a Smarter Future

At Theben, we’re passionate about educating and inspiring the electricians of tomorrow. Joining the eFIXX College Connections Programme allows us to share our knowledge and support young installers in developing the skills they’ll need to deliver future-proof, sustainable electrical installations.

We’ll also be attending selected roadshow dates in person to meet students, answer questions, and encourage them to think about the opportunities available in smart building technologies.

By partnering with eFIXX, we aim to help colleges equip their learners with practical skills that go beyond textbooks. With smart homes and building automation becoming mainstream, we want students to leave college ready to embrace these opportunities with confidence.

We’re excited to play a part in shaping the future of the electrical industry - and can’t wait to see how the next generation of electricians will put smart, sustainable solutions into practice.
